WIPs

So I've been meaning to take some WIP pics of my well, WIPs. But I haven't gotten to it yet, for many reasons (those reasons being the same two reasons as to why I haven't gotten to a lot of things yet). So instead, I'll talk about them. Right now I'm not quite halfway through a Baktus scarf in Trekking Handart. I love the colorway, which is why I'm not using it for socks, but the nylon makes it a bit scratchy so I'm not sure it's appropriate, so we'll see how it goes. Then there's the Japel Circle Shrug, from her most recent book, Glam Knits, I think. The 1x1 ribbing is killing me, nevermind the fact that after the ribbing, I have seed stitch for like, more than 20 rows. I don't think I'm going to finish before vacation. I have a chance at finishing my Coriolis socks though, these are also in Trekking Handart, but in the Jamaika colorway (which looks very autumn-y, actually), double-stranded. And the project I really expect to finish is something of my own pattern, or un-pattern as you will, which I'm excited to share. It's a cabled cowl, knit out of Burly Spun. Which I suppose doesn't sound very exciting, but anything you can finish in less than a week I find very exciting. Pictures to come.

Genesis

I never thought I would, because I never felt I had anything to contribute, but I suppose now I do, so I'm starting a blog. I hope to use this space for things related to knitting, fashion, childrearing, and life in general. Stay tuned. . .
